Example of the Compensation Plan in Action!

The Opportunity

This means much more than simply allowing you to purchase Thai-Go or other NSP products at a lower cost. An NSP membership can help you achieve career independence, fulfillment in helping others and even true financial freedom.

Compensation Plan

Nature's Sunshine has designed a generous compensation plan. Close to half of each dollar coming into the company is paid back to our Members, Distributors and Managers in rebates, commissions and benefits. The plan rewards Members and Managers in cash rebates, commissions and other benefits, including trips, conventions and more.

Earn income in four different ways:

  • Retail Profits (30-45%)
  • Sponsoring (Earn 30% commission with the Pass-it-On program—happens when you sponsor someone with 4 bottles or more on their initial order.)
  • Personal rebates and group commissions (Earn up to 30% rebates when you and your group order directly from NSP.)
  • Earn commissions on the sales made by Managers in your successline. (These are managers that “break away” with their own groups of at least 40 bottles/1000 QV). This is NOT to be confused with your immediate group of distributors/customers, of which you are being paid 10-30% in item 3.)

Example of the Nature's Sunshine Marketing Plan

In a “break-away” plan such as Nature’s Sunshine, there are two groups to consider. Your Customer/Distributor group are those customers/distributors that you sponsor, but either are not pursuing a business (simply ordering for themselves, etc.) or those who have not yet built their business to achieve the rank of Manager. In your customer/distributor group, there is up to 30% payout available.

The second group is your Manager group. It is to your advantage to sponsor distributors who will also build up their customer/distributor base and eventually “break away” from your own group and form their own—thus becoming a Manager themselves. The Nature’s Sunshine compensation plan is set up to encourage this, and reward Managers who in turn, develop more Managers. For example, you receive a 12% override commission on all new Managers who break away on your first level of your successline.

The overall result is that most of the financial incentive is tilted toward you as you get started in the business. Nature’s Sunshine provides other incentives—car allowances, trips, and other things—to encourage you to build deeper, even though the actual percentage of payout at those levels may not look like it is as much.

SCENARIO

We will use an example someone (we will call him Joe) who has reached the Manager 30% commission level. This means that Joe and the people in his group or customer and distributors— whether they are actively distributing the product or simply using it—buy a total of at least 120 bottles (3000 QV) in that month. It does not matter if Joe puts all customers/distributors underneath him, or whether he puts them under each other.

Also, Joe is fulfilling his own personal requirement of 4 bottles (100 QV) per month. It does not matter if he consumes them himself, or consumes none of it and sells the product--at cost, at retail, or any other price he wants--to someone else.

Nature’s Sunshine is going to pay—to this group—30% of the wholesale cost of the product back in rebates/commissions. In many cases, Joe will receive the entire 30%. For example, if Joe has someone in his group that is ordering 6 bottles per month, that customer is receiving a 10% rebate back. Therefore, Joe’s part of the rebate/commission is 30%-10% = 20%. However, for any member in Joe's group that is only ordering 2 bottles, he will receive the entire 30%.

Now, let us say that Joe shares Nature’s Sunshine Thai-Go with Gertrude, she joins Joe’s group, and is ordering 4 bottles per month—2 of which she consumes herself, and 2 of which she sells to a co-worker (without even sponsoring the co-worker into the plan). She will enjoy a 10% rebate back from Nature’s Sunshine each month that she orders her minimum 4 bottles. However, Gertrude sees the business opportunity and tries to develop her own business.

Gertrude shares Thai-Go with 8 people, and gets them ordering 2 bottles per month. This raises her “group volume” to 20 bottles, and she finds herself receiving a 12% rebate/commission--both on the products that she orders and the ones that her “group” orders. She can continue to approach the business in this manner and continue sponsoring new members to build her group. Also, Donald—one of her new members—goes out and sponsors 3 new members ordering 2 bottles per month. Now, Gertrude’s total group volume is 26 bottles, and she is now earning 18% rebate/commission on her volume! (Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Joe is rooting for Gertrude to grow her group so she can break out and become a Manager herself!)

Not satisfied, Gertrude continues working her business, and grows it to a group of customer & distributors that are purchasing 40 bottles per month. She has now moved up the ladder! She will receive 27% commission/rebate on the bottles purchased by her group. She also breaks away from Joe’s group, making him happy since he now has his first Manager in his Manager Group. He still receives 12% on her entire group volume! Having Gertrude as a Manager in his Manager Group helps him move up the Manager rank to District Manager! Now Joe is eligible to go to Rising Star Convention and have Nature’s Sunshine pick up most of the cost.

Joe gets excited, knowing that more opportunities are coming his way...so does Gertrude, and so can you!

Other notes:

1. Nature’s Sunshine will ship the product directly to the new customer or member. There is no need for you to have inventory. Nature’s Sunshine will process their credit card as well, so there is no need for you to have a credit card processor.

2. If your new member orders 4 bottles at signup instead of 2 bottles, they will receive a 10% rebate AND you (the sponsor) receives a 30% Pass-It-On sign-up bonus (instead of the regular rebate schedule) on that order.

3. If someone in your customer/distributor group sponsors someone new with the Pass-It-On bonus, the new member gets 10%, the sponsor receives 30%, and the Manager receives 10%!

4. There is no sign-up fee. Membership is free with an order of 2 bottles (one case).

5. Shipping is $6.50 for any order under $100 (4 bottles or less), and $8.50 for any order over $100.
